Founder Story
Share Llama was hatched somewhere between a bump in the road and a cow pasture in the middle of America.
Our founders, part-time landowners and full-time snackers, know how wild it gets keeping up with fences, fields, and the occasional llama escape. One even spent a month zig-zagging 7,000 miles by RV, staying at farms, bravely taste-testing homemade goat cheese in every state and never once getting lost...more than three times. While traveling through farms and ranches in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, and California, our founders stayed on working farms instead of campgrounds, experiencing firsthand the generosity and pride of rural communities.
Along the way, one challenge became clear: many small and medium-sized farms rely on expensive equipment that sits unused most of the year, while others nearby need those same tools.
That’s when the idea clicked.
Share Llama was created to help farmers, ranchers, and landowners earn extra income by sharing underused equipment—building a trusted, community-driven marketplace rooted in rural and semi-urban cooperation. 🦙🚜
